What is Asperger Syndrome?
Asperger Syndrome (AS) is a form of Autistic Spectrum Conditions, which is a group of neurological disorders. AS is the term used by some to describe autistic people with average or above-average intelligence. Those with Aspersger Syndrome see, hear and feel the world differently from other people as their brain works differently. Symptoms vary from person to person, but children with AS often have an obsessive focus on a narrow topic of interest, difficulty with social interaction and engage in repetitive behaviour.
